About J Rusk Photography
My name is Jesse Rusk and at J Rusk Photography, as a fine art photographer, I aim to capture and present the natural beauty of the world as it is, with minimal post-processing. I create my images by shooting with a variety of cameras to capture different perspectives—including a vintage Rolleiflex camera to create nostalgic film prints; a DJI Inspire 2 drone to gain a birds-eye view with aerial photography; and a Nikon Digital SLR camera to document every detail in a landscape.
I took the leap from a career that I enjoyed as an accountant to pursue photography full time because capturing images that tell stories about the world and the people living in it is my passion. I do not think there is a single moment that I decided to become a photographer—I have found myself behind a camera for as long as I can remember.
When shooting portraits (families, couples, children, individuals, and pets), I capture the natural and real emotions and interactions in order to allow families to hold on to a moment in time forever.
Through my collection of bright and vibrant fine art photographic prints that I have ventured around the world to capture, I have chosen prints that I hope will remind others of their own adventures, and inspire them to go on new ones.
